    LibOrbis PKG/USB Loader
    upload_2018-12-22_9-7-33.png

    **Important**
Licensed under MIT Modified by Darksoftware

This is a modified version of BigBosses Network ELF Loader

    How it works.

PKG -> eboot starts PRX -> PRX recursively searches for homebrew.elf in a sandbox -> find it then allocates memory etc -> launches elf -> elf loads the assets (which are hardcoded in the elf when you make it) -> finish loading.

    or

USB is the priority so if you have homebrew.elf on USB ROOT ONLY it will load it first.

This way it can load the homebrew.elf with ANY Title ID as there are no hardcoded paths.

it's a PRX cuz I'm the lazy :P source is below tho.

    How do you use it?

you can Download the binaries here as here are the instructions.

    1. if you wanna Use ANY Assets in your Homebrew do either.

    orbis2dLoadPngFromSandBox(/mnt/sandbox/pfsmnt/TITLE-ID-HERE-app0/PNG.png);

    or

Similar for .mods (see lib source for details).

Lib functions names may change in the feature but rn it is that.

    2. eboot.bin needs to be in the PKG and psxloader.prx HAS TO BE IN Media/Plugins in the pkg.

    upload_2018-12-22_9-14-30.png

    3. ALL Assets need to be placed where-ever you said in your homebrew.elf source code.

    4. Edit your homebrew.elf in HxD (This wont be needed when the Open SDK Tools are finished.)

ONLY For PKG not USB Loading.

    change ".ELF" to "0000"

    upload_2018-12-22_9-23-5.png

    5. Add your elf ANYWHERE in the pkg doesn't matter where.

    6. PKG and Profit.

Can you develop a step by step tutorial to make it work? Can it run pkgs beyond 5.05 firmware, such as red dead redemption 2??

You can run homebrew in .elf/.prx format and its for 5.05 only

    Same as above

This can't run official pkgs and/or games

This is an unsigned .elf/.prx launcher

How would you expect it to run a game that cannot be dumped yet as there is no 6.02 Kexploit to do it with?

Well... Since LibOrbis can create a FPKG, there is a possibility that we do not need to start the game to do a dump and get a FPKG from a disk that requires a superior firm to be launched. Maybe LibOrbis can make a FPKG on the fly with a disk inside bluray unit but maybe i'm dreaming, maybe...

The eboot needs to be modified in order to be launched on 5.05 but we have seen that this has worked with the 4.73 patch for GOW.

    So... Fingers crossed

While looking at the PKG contents of a game like FFX/FFX-2 remastered, it is clear that the game is a port from PS3. Would a game like TES4-Oblivion benefit from loading unsigned elf/prx? Oblivion, being on both the PC and PS3 could possibly be pieced together.

It would still be fully encrypted though, and unless we have the encryption key, there is no way another package can read it. That is why the kexploit works. It allows us to run code after a package has been decrypted, allowing us to make a FPKG, but there is no way of allowing us to run a FPKG to decrypt an official PKG file which is what you are suggesting.

Is that tool useful to make finally a PKG with Pgen (Ps2 Genesis Emulator) that works?
I've tried with Ps4Ps2 Elf Launcher with no success...

Already you can do a FPKG from a Disk but doesn't work.

I'm suggesting to make a FPKG from a disk because Liborbis runs after SAMU so maybe they found a way

Hmm. Can't see how. Everything gets run in sandboxes on the PS4, so even a Fake Package gets its own sandbox when run. All packages on disc are encrytpted, so without the original encryption key, it's impossible to decode without a Kexploit, and since newer games will need a higher firmware than we can currently (in the wild at least) exploit, I can't see it being possible at this time. If rumours are true though, 2 methods for 6.02 and possibly 6.20 are about to be released, so hopefully, should get interesting real soon.
